Der bob vierer ist tatsächlich ein sehr attraktiver Tarif und dürfte für viele der Idealtarif sein. Dass dieser Tarif allerdings in allen Kategorien als Sieger hervorging, ist dennoch etwas merkwürdig. Durchschnittstelefonierer (300Min. gelten als Durchschnitt), die auch nur ab und an mal eine SMS schreiben und auch sonst weiter nichts mit dem Handy am Hut haben, finden wohl kaum einen besseren und flexibleren Tarif. Wer aber Vieltelefonierer ist, viele SMS schreibt und/oder am Handy noch surfen möchte sowie mittels Vertrag ein preisgestütztes Handy erwerben möchte, ist bei bob falsch.
Es gibt nicht den einen günstigsten Tarif, es gibt lediglich den für ein jeweiliges Telefonierverhalten günstigsten Tarif. Zudem muss bei bob auch berücksichtigt werden, dass die Serviceline kostenpflichtig ist. Preisgestützte Endgeräte können auch nicht erworben werden. Wer außerdem mit dem Handy mobil ins Internet möchte, zahlt beim bob vierer ganze 1,28 EUR pro MB. Eine SMS-Option für SMS-Vielschreiber gibt es leider auch (noch) nicht. All diese Faktoren mögen für viele ohnehin nicht relevant sein, können aber durchaus zur Kostenfalle werden wenn man dem AK Tarifranking blauäugig Glauben schenkt.
Der AK Tarifrechner ist daher mit Vorsicht zu genießen. Zu viele Faktoren bleiben hier unberücksichtigt. Wer also tatsächlich noch unschlüssig ist, sollte daher nicht alleine auf das Ergebnis des Tarifrechners vertrauen, sondern sich am Besten bei jedem der Netzbetreiber über aktuelle Tarife informieren. Spezielle Vergünstigungen (z.B. Partnerkarten, SIM-only Varianten, Jugend-Tarife) sollten hierbei auch nicht außer Acht gelassen werden, ebenso wie Zusatzpakete (z.B. SMS-Pakte), die oft hohes Einsparungspotential bieten.
